Setup & Getting Started

How do I set up my fingerprint?

Before setting up, fully charge the bag via the Type-C port. Then follow the step-by-step video guide above. The setup is straightforward — most users are up and running within minutes. We recommend pairing the backup key first before registering your fingerprints.

Can I add multiple people's fingerprints?

Yes. You can register up to 10 fingerprints in total — your own fingers, a family member's, or any trusted person you choose to give access to.

What if my fingerprint isn't being recognised?

Try registering the same finger more than once during setup to improve accuracy. If the issue persists, check that the sensor area is clean and dry. You can always access the bag using your paired backup key while you troubleshoot.

Technology & Security

How does the fingerprint technology work?

Each INASÉKA bag features a built-in biometric fingerprint lock that secures the main zipper. Powered by the latest fingerprint recognition technology, the lock reads your fingerprint in under 0.5 seconds and unlocks in under 1 second — no key or password needed for everyday use. The technology is designed to prevent cloning, making it a safer and more reliable alternative to traditional locks.

How many fingerprints can be stored?

Each lock stores up to 10 fingerprints, so you can register multiple fingers or share access with a trusted person such as a partner or family member.

Can the lock be fooled or cloned?

No. The fingerprint lock uses advanced biometric recognition technology specifically designed to prevent cloning and unauthorised duplication. Only a registered fingerprint will unlock the bag.

How fast does the lock recognise my fingerprint?

The lock collects your fingerprint in under 0.5 seconds and completes the match in under 1 second. In practical terms, it opens with a single touch almost instantly.

Does the lock have 360-degree recognition?

Yes. The fingerprint sensor supports 360-degree recognition, meaning you can place your finger at any angle and it will still read accurately.

What if I can’t get into my bag?

Every bag includes a paired reset/backup key. This key is unique to your specific bag — it cannot be copied, transferred to another lock, or used with any other bag.

What is the backup key used for?

The key is a backup, not a daily-use item. It's there if your fingerprint can't be read — for example, if your skin is wet, worn, or damaged. We recommend storing it safely at home rather than carrying it with you.

What happens if I lose my backup key?

The key cannot be replaced. Because it is uniquely paired to your bag, a new key will not work. This is a deliberate security feature to prevent unauthorised access. Keep it somewhere safe at home. If you do happen to lose your backup key, please contact our support team.

Do INASÉKA bags have RFID blocking built in?

RFID protection is not currently built into the bag itself. However, we do offer separate RFID blocking cards that can be used inside your bag for card protection. We are actively working with our supplier to incorporate RFID blocking directly into future bag designs — so watch this space.

Is GPS or Apple Find My tracking available?

GPS and Find My functionality is not currently available on LOKiT bags. This is something we are exploring with our supplier for future designs. We'll update our range as these features become available.

Is there a warranty on the fingerprint lock?

Yes. All fingerprint locks are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing faults. The warranty does not cover misuse, water damage, physical damage, loss of the backup key, or damage caused by the use of fast chargers. Always use a standard charger to protect your lock and keep your warranty valid.

What if my lock stops working or I receive a faulty product?

Please contact us with a short video showing the issue. Most problems can be assessed and resolved remotely. Confirmed manufacturing faults within the 12-month warranty period will be replaced.

Battery & Charging

Does the lock need charging?

Yes. The lock contains a built-in rechargeable battery (3.7V, ≥120mAh). A full charge supports approximately 2,000 fingerprint unlock cycles. We recommend charging before first use, as the bag may have been in storage prior to delivery.

How do I charge the lock?

The bag features a Type-C charging port, making it easy to charge with most modern cables. Use a standard charger with a 5V/200mA input. The charging cable included in the box is suitable for use.

Can I use a fast charger?

Important: Always use a standard charger only. Fast chargers are not compatible with the fingerprint lock battery and can permanently reduce battery life or damage the lock over time. The charging cable included in the box is suitable for use and we recommend using this wherever possible.

What happens if the battery runs flat?

If the battery runs out, you can still open the bag using your paired backup key — you are never locked out of your belongings.

How will I know when the battery is running low?

The lock has a built-in low battery indicator. Under normal use, the lock light displays blue when active. When the battery needs recharging, the light will show green instead of blue when you attempt to open the bag. This is your signal to charge — you can still use the bag normally in the meantime, and your backup key is always available if the battery runs out completely.

How long does the battery last between charges?

In real-world use, a full charge can last up to a month or approximately 2,000 unlock cycles — whichever comes first. Most users will find a standard overnight charge at home every few weeks is all that's needed. The Type-C port makes topping up straightforward at home between uses. Always use a standard charger and the included cable.

What is the bag made from?

INASÉKA bags are currently available in two material options. Our signature style is crafted from genuine top-layer cowhide leather — soft to the touch, durable, and selected for its quality finish and longevity. We also offer a vegan leather style, designed for everyday use and available in two colour options, making it a great choice for those who prefer an animal-free alternative without compromising on style.

Is the bag water resistant?

Yes. The selected leather is both dust and water resistant, providing good protection for your belongings in everyday conditions. While the bag handles light moisture well, it is not designed for full submersion.

Is the bag suitable for travel?

Absolutely. The bag is designed for airports, public transport, busy streets, and overseas travel — anywhere pickpocketing or unwanted access is a concern. Its compact size also makes it easy to carry through security.

Is the bag easy to use day to day?

Yes. Unlocking takes a single touch and quickly becomes second nature. The multi-zone interior keeps your essentials organised, and the lightweight design means you'll barely notice it's there.

Your bag is securely packaged and arrives with all included accessories — the backup key, charging cable, spare dust protector and directions to the video instructions.

We can ship international but the rates are calculated based on destination.
